Synopsis
Remake of the 1960 film of the same name in color, following a man and a woman who travel by raft to a remote desert island accompanied by chickens and a dog. Initially, it becomes a sort of paradise for them. They engage in farming and fishing, repeating the same daily routine, and enjoy feasting on grilled sanma cooked out in the open. One day, their harmony is disrupted by a mustachioed scientist arriving on a raft powered by an abused pig. This unwelcome visitor constructs a robot, initiating the process of industrialization on the island. The couple is displeased but decides to tolerate the man and his technology.
