Synopsis
This short film aims to express gratitude for assistance during the prefecture's reconstruction efforts and to ensure that memories of the 2011 disaster among its victims do not fade. The story centers on two 16-year-old high school students who experience the Tohoku disaster and grow in its aftermath. Jun Agatsuma's father works as a doctor, and she is anxious about the future. Kunpei Satou's father is a fisherman, and it has been decided that Kunpei will take over the family business. Their lives are suddenly upended when the 2011 earthquake and tsunami strike their region. As Miyagi Prefecture recovers from the catastrophe, the two come to terms with their own futures. Three individuals connected to Miyagi Prefecture were selected to provide the voices for the short's characters.
