Synopsis
After Finn discovers his orphanage is about to shut down due to money troubles, the boy, who had been living freely on the streets, heads to a casino hoping to strike it rich. But nothing could have prepared him for the nightmare that awaits. At the casino, Finn witnesses a car chase and a bloody shootout triggered by a man's "lucky" card. Finn will eventually learn the truth behind the shootout. A set of 52 X-Playing cards can control the world order, granting different superhuman powers and abilities to those who possess them. With these cards, people can tap into the hidden power of the "buddy" within themselves. A secret group of players called High Card, directly ordered by the king of Fourland, works to collect the cards scattered across the kingdom while moonlighting as employees of the luxury carmaker Pinochle. Recruited to become the group's fifth member, Finn soon joins the players on a dangerous mission to find these cards. "All you need in life are manners, dignity, and the will to bet on your own life." However, Who's Who, the rival carmaker obsessed with defeating Pinochle, and the Klondikes, the infamous Mafia family, stand in the gang's way. A frenzied battle among these card-obsessed players, fueled by justice, desire, and revenge, is about to begin! Are you ready? It's Showdown!!
