On their first day of class, first-year high school students Takashi Mitsuhashi and Shinji Itou immediately become friends. The duo seems to have quite a bit in common on the surface. Both of them aspire to emerge as delinquents upon entering their new school, and they begin to wear obnoxious haircuts to make them stand out from other teenagers. However, despite being a feared pair, these two students actually have more differences than similarities. Itou wants to use his fists to protect the weak, earning respect and admiration from his classmates. On the other hand, Mitsuhashi strives to be the strongest in Japan—striking fear in anyone watching him. Regardless of these dissimilarities, the two are notorious for their remarkable fighting abilities, and their friendship thrives when they come together to throw fists. Whether it be a fight against the good or the bad guys, nobody can win against these two unusual delinquents.

Alone in his dorm room one Saturday night (a frequent occurrence, to be honest), young Keiichi Morisato accidentally dials a wrong number that will literally change his life. You see, he inadvertently reaches the Goddess Technical Help Line, and a goddess is dispatched to grant him one wish. The lovely young Belldandy informs him that he may have one wish - a wish for virtually anything in the world. In disbelief, Keiichi opts for a wish he believes will confound the system (and will prove that Belldandy has no particular wish-granting power): he wishes that Belldandy would stay with him always. The power of this wish almost rips the fabric of time and space but it is ultimately granted. But of course such a wish has unforseen consequences, including the fact that Keiichi lives in a guys-only dorm. When his roommates return to find him with a woman on the premises, he is immediately tossed out on to the street. But the wish also has other unexpected side effects - such as when Keiichi and Belldandy are in peril of being separated, a motorcycle is suddenly repaired so that they can travel together.

Maeda is a new student in the Teiken High School. He stutters when he's nervous and he's rather clumsy. He gets noted immediately because he hits a teacher during the entrance ceremony. Some clubs search to enlist him as they see in him a force they can use to get even with other clubs. But Maeda is a loner and has only one dream: becoming boxing champion. His first objective is to beat the leader of the boxing club. "Rokudenashi" translates as "good for nothing".

In the near future, large mecha called Labors are made to assist in various reconstruction projects in major countries around the world that are being threatened by global warming. In Japan, the government has enacted Project Babylon in order to conduct land reclamation. Labors are also being pressed into police and military service aside from civilian use. However, terrorists are now attempting to use labors to make themselves heard, as well as common criminals, thugs and guerrillas. The National Police Agency established the Special Vehicles Division, an all-labor task force to combat the potential use of labors for criminal/terrorist activities.

A historical story using Ghosts to explain the life times of the reign of Emperor Hirohito. Comic Showa-shi describes an era of upheaval and impoverishment in Japanese history, beginning with the Tokyo Earthquake in 1923, and covering the financial panic, the Great Depression, the March 15th Incident, and other events up until the Manchurian Incident in 1931.

Yuki dreamed about a goddess along with 3 dragon gods. After that dream, she saw a dragon appears during the thunderous stormy night at her house. The next morning, she starts to notice that there is something wrong with her. She has a vision, and starts hearing people's thought. Soon enough her friend start acting strange and horrify incidents starts to occurs to her. Note: there is also 2 stories in the back of the manga. The first story is a spin-off for Maou no Kiza (魔王の刻) manga in the back of the manga. The 2nd story is called Dreamer Boy, which is about Taku and Yuki. One day, they helped a boy and got a candy for a return. The candy wrapper has an instruction written there for Yuki and Taku to make a wish while eating candy and their wish will comes true. The next morning, Yuki found that Taku has became into a kid.

There's going to be a new student in Tesukayama School. To everyone surprise, that student is a girl, a ninja girl. Her grandfather died and she's the only one left in her ninja clan. Kyuutarou never been in a city before, since her sibling died when she was little, she's always live in the jungle alone with her grandfather and her dog. She never go to school, her grandfather is the one who taught her everything. Motoi whose his father is also the school director is asked by his dad to take care of her and because of his family and Kyuutarou's family's relationship back in the shogunate era, Motoi's dad have to adopt her to live in Motoi's family resident. To complicate things more, there are ninja from other clans that try to hunt Kyuutarou down. What, more ninja? How the outcome of this chaotic story will be unfolded?

Sayaka helps her counsin, Kanayo while she's doing her late night shift in a store. Sayaka's parent are cop so she quite used to weapon and handcuff. One night, one of their frequent mysterious customer ran into the store, with blood all over his face. Sayaka is scared and so she uses judo move thrown the guy and handcuff him right away. Soon there are group of men who likes to scare Kanayo and Sayaka came in, asking if there's someone inside. Kanayo shoo them away. After learning that he and his friends had been chased, Sayaka and Kanayo tries to let the man go, but they couldn't find a key. The worse thng is Sayaka accidentally handcuff herself with that man too. Kanayo and Sayaka want to ask the fire department for help but the man, Reiji refused and said that he doesn't want police to know about this and so now they have to handcuffed with each other for a while. What should they do and why Reiji is always being chased off, and now Sayaka has to get involve with this gang fight.

Natori Chinami and Kamoi Tooru are classmates commuting to the same college. They've been dating for 3 years. Preparing to enter the workforce, Kamoi and Chinami have begun working at a market research company, but Kamoi disapproves of how Chinami is constantly talking about section manager Kaieda. Declaring he wants to become an adult as quickly as possible, Kamoi distances himself from Chinami and dedicates himself to his role as a company advisor. Their relationship ends abruptly and unceremoniously.
