Each day of the week, energetic ten-year-old Hime Gotou observes her dad donning a suit and tie to head off to his regular office job. But the moment he is out of his innocent daughter's sight, Kakushi Gotou rushes to swap his formal wear for a faded T-shirt and old shorts. As a single father, Gotou harbors one vital secret he must never let Hime discover: his career as a well-established comedy manga artist. However, the humor he is known for is extremely crude and lewd—meaning he will go to any lengths to keep his unsuspecting daughter from ever reading his work. Driven by an irrational fear that Hime would lose respect for him, Gotou recruits Hime's teacher and his overworked editors as accomplices in his ridiculous attempts to hide the truth from her. Yet beneath these absurd and silly situations, traces of a darker secret lurking in the Gotou family's past begin to surface.
