Japan, Taisho era: Tatsuhiko often travels to the university to meet with his high school friend Hayashi, who has become a professor. In Hayashi's study, Tatsuhiko mentions the latest trend in society: hypnosis. Hayashi does not believe in its effectiveness so the two men decide to conduct an experiment. But after Tatsuhiko uses a hypnosis technique on Hayashi, his friend starts behaving strangely.
