In the Magic Kingdom, Princess Erika must field-test a magical item she invented for one year on her counterpart from the human world in order to earn the right to the throne. That counterpart is Himeko, a tomboy troubled by the belief that her boyish appearance and demeanor are spoiling her prospects with the boy she has a crush on. Erika lends Himeko a ribbon that enables her to transform into anyone she wishes for a single hour. If she overstays that limit or gets caught, she will be trapped in that appearance permanently.
