After enduring relentless bullying for most of his life, 17-year-old Yu has grown emotionally hollow and detached from reality, unable to behave like a normal person. Though he possesses an extraordinary ability to evade punches, he chooses to let his tormentors hit him, seeing no point in surviving. His situation shifts when he crosses paths with an aging boxing coach nicknamed "K." Having mentored five champions, K's extensive experience and sharp instincts let him instantly spot Yu's almost superhuman fighting potential. He eagerly tries to take Yu under his guidance, even though the boy shows little enthusiasm. But when a warm memory from his past resurfaces, Yu reconsiders and accepts K's proposal, hoping to recapture that same light. So Yu steps into a world packed with fierce opponents—some just, some monstrous—and for the very first time, he is forced to fight back.

The Boxer is originally a webtoon series which was officially published in book format by Daewon C.I. (대원씨아이) from October 29, 2021, to September 29, 2025. The series has been digitally published in English by LINE Webtoon since May 28, 2020. The volumes have been published by Yen Press under the Ize Press imprint since December 20, 2022. It has also been released in German by Altraverse since July 17, 2023.
