Gokurakugai

極楽街

Maga—dangerous, powerful creatures resurrected from the corpses of people and animals—are causing mysterious disappearances every day. Humans and lower-class beastmen, who possess both human and animal traits, live in the bustling Gokuraku district, where the situation is no different; in fact, it is strangely worsening. In the district sits an unusual office, used by the Gokurakugai Troubleshooter Agency. The cool-headed leader Tao and intuitive young Alma, its only two members, take on any job that involves investigating private incidents or tracking down missing people—if their clients can afford it, that is. But the two conceal a secret: their main purpose is to look into the disturbing cases caused by maga and eliminate every last one of them.

Background

Gokurakugai is published digitally as an English simulpub through the MANGA Plus service. The volumes have been published by VIZ Media under the Shonen Jump imprint since April 16, 2024. It has also been published in French by Pika Édition since June 12, 2024; in German by Crunchyroll Manga since August 2, 2024; in Italian by Panini Comics since October 31, 2024; and in Polish by Studio JG since November 8, 2024.
