A girl begins to dream. She wakes up in a room that closely resembles her own, where she finds a hub of doors leading into a variety of different worlds. Some of these dreamscapes are beautiful and calming, while others quickly spiral into terrifying nightmares. By gathering items known as "Effects," she unlocks access to new areas and continues wandering aimlessly through the realm of dreams. When each dream concludes, she records what happened in a diary before drifting back to sleep once more. As she tries to uncover the meaning behind these visions, this girl soon realizes she might not be alone—someone is closely observing both her and the dreams she experiences.
