In the afterworld's Palace of Yeomra, Jae-shin—the king's son, mesmerizingly beautiful and thoroughly self-indulgent—receives a severe punishment. For meddling with the lifespans of two men, this captivating half-human, half-ghost is exiled to the mortal realm, where during the day he loses his powers and becomes nothing more than a white puppy. The sole method to regain his true form is to capture a human's heart. By a twist of fate, Lee Nok, a melancholic and luckless prince who yearns for his childhood friend, takes the animal in out of compassion. Nok's plentiful yin energy draws in harmful spirits, and Jae-shin needs to absorb yin to survive. In every way, Nok is the ideal candidate for Jae-shin's plans. So Jae-shin starts visiting the prince's quarters at night in his human guise, aiming to wipe away the lingering feelings for another from Nok's heart and seduce him into eternal devotion.
