Binchou-tan

Binchou-tan features a mascot character created by mangaka Takahito Ekusa and developed by game merchandise company Alchemist. The name plays on words: binchōtan denotes a specific kind of charcoal used mainly for cooking, and the suffix -tan comes from the mispronunciation of chan. Following this theme, the main characters are cute anthropomorphized versions of different charcoal types.
