The story takes place at the Kitashiro School for the Deaf (called the Fukuri School for the Deaf in the manga), a school for deaf children with rubella, which actually existed in Okinawa Prefecture. <br><br> A moving story of overcoming disability and dedicating youth for baseball. Written with deep understanding and love, this work has contributed to the popularisation of sign language. <br><br>
