오스카의 오아시스

あらすじ

Oscar the lizard inhabits a desert landscape blending elements from the Sahara, Kalahari, and North American deserts, crisscrossed by an asphalt highway used by occasional cargo trucks. His primary goals are finding food and water; though he sometimes discovers liquids in bottles or other containers, he usually faces obstacles when attempting to drink. The only fresh water available is at an oasis, guarded by a pack of fierce, hungry crocodiles, making it off-limits to Oscar. Amid these challenges, he occasionally ventures to steal eggs from a nearby chicken coop or rummages through garbage piles scattered across the desolate terrain. Living in a dilapidated school bus on a nearby hill are Popy the fennec fox, Buck the vulture, and Harchi the hyena. They move around using a salvaged warehouse or grocery cart, propelled by Harchi and directed by Popy. Much like Oscar, they constantly search for food and water, often competing with him, using him as a tool, or collaborating when it suits them. The characters frequently fall off cliffs in a manner similar to Wile E. Coyote chasing the Road Runner, with gravity seemingly delayed until they realize their peril.
