あらすじ

最遊記外伝の物語の続き

Genjyo Sanzo and his party that set out on their journey to the west five hundred years prior, the five key figures were gods, but their divine status did not guarantee moral uprightness. After the death of a close friend, Goku flies into a murderous frenzy, leading Heaven to decree his death. Yet Konzen Douji, Field Marshal Tenpou, and General Kenren resolve to shield Goku, even if it means bringing the entire celestial realm into conflict with them.

本作では

本編の出来事以前に設定されたこの前編は、Saiyuuki の四重奏の起源を探る。最初の OVA は Sanzo とその師、ならびに後に Ni Jianyi として知られる Ukoku に焦点を当てる。2 作目の OVA は Goku と Sanzo の初対面を描く。3 作目の OVA は Saiyuuki の第 1 シーズンで初めて描かれた Hakkai の罪とその後の裁判の結果、ならびに Gojyo と共に暮らすことを決意した彼の決断を探る。
