Birth Place: Ikeda, Hokkaido, Japan Growing up influenced by Osamu Tezuka and Shotaro Ishinomori. A big fan of Kamen Rider since he was a child, he criticized Tatsuya Egawa’s comicalize of “Kamen Rider The First” as a low quality product. Was an assistant to Mitsuru Adachi and Kaoru Shintani. Masayuki Fujihara, Tetsuo Yamashita, Naoki Mizutani, Michiaki Watanabe and Eisaku Kubonouchi were once his assistants. Classmates with Masamune Shirow, Hideaki Anno and Takami Akai at Osaka University of Arts. Kentaro Yano was his senior while Aki Katsu and Meimu were his juniors.
