Resumen

Rivalz Cardemonde, un cangurino de 17 años, tipo de sangre AB y nacido el 20 de julio, es uno de los amigos cercanos de Lelouch. A menudo lo lleva en su motocicleta, utilizando los trayectos como apuestas en sus partidas de ajedrez. Rivalz trabaja medio tiempo como camarero y barman, y alberga sentimientos no correspondidos por Milly Ashford, especialmente evidentes cuando se anuncia su entrevista de matrimonio. Tras unirse al consejo estudiantil por petición de Lelouch, Rivalz desarrolla una rápida amistad con Suzaku, vínculo mostrado en la serie principal y en extras exclusivos del DVD. Su apellido actual, Cardemonde, es en realidad el apellido de soltera de su madre, que él adoptó tras la separación de sus padres.
