Richard Allen Dysart was an American actor, best recognized for his portrayal of Leland McKenzie on the NBC legal drama L.A. Law. In the realm of voice acting, he brought the kindly miner Uncle Pom to life in the Disney English-language release of Hayao Miyazaki's 1986 adventure classic Castle in the Sky. Additionally, Dysart provided the voice for Cogliostro in Todd McFarlane's Spawn: The Animated Series, which was broadcast on HBO. Dysart passed away at his home in Santa Monica, California, on April 5, 2015, following a prolonged illness. He was 86 years old at the time of his death.
