In 2017, she received the Film Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the film Other People. Her extensive career spans numerous film and television appearances, including voice acting roles in Igor and the Hotel Transylvania film series. Shannon married artist Fritz Chesnut in 2004.
