Born on October 20, 1983, Takayuki Yamada is a Japanese actor and singer who has two elder sisters and one son. At the age of 15, he was discovered by the talent agency Stardust, launching his acting career with a debut role in the 1999 TV drama Psychometrer Eiji 2. One of his early significant roles came in 2004 when he starred as Matsumoto Sakutaro in the TBS series Sekai no Chuushin de, Ai wo Sakebu. Yamada gained widespread recognition in 2005 through the film Densha Otoko. His filmography includes recent projects such as Taiyou no Uta and the Japanese movie The Letter (Tegami), in which he co-starred with Erika Sawajiri. Additionally, he has appeared in hit movies like Crows Zero and Ikigami, as well as taking on new starring roles in M.W. (2009).
