Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Marcelo Gastaldi was a multifaceted Brazilian artist who worked as an actor, presenter, producer, comedian, singer, composer, announcer, voice actor, and dubbing director. Widely regarded as one of the most brilliant and versatile voice actors of his generation, he was the founder and driving force behind MAGA, a dubbing cooperative that localized numerous international productions primarily for TVS (now SBT) during the 1980s and 1990s. While his extensive career encompassed theater, television, cinema, and music, Gastaldi is most celebrated as the definitive and iconic voice of the renowned Mexican comedian Roberto Gómez Bolaños. He also directed the dubbing for Bolaños' creations, including El Chavo del Ocho and Chapulin Colorado. Gastaldi passed away on August 3, 1995, at the age of 50.
