Joseph Leonard Gordon-Levitt is an American actor, director, screenwriter, producer, and editor. Beginning his career as a child star, he appeared in films such as A River Runs Through It, Angels in the Outfield, Beethoven, and 10 Things I Hate About You, alongside his role as Tommy Solomon on the television series 3rd Rock from the Sun. He has since headlined projects including (500) Days of Summer, Inception, 50/50, Premium Rush, The Dark Knight Rises, Brick, and Looper. His filmography also includes appearances in The Lookout, Manic, Lincoln, Mysterious Skin, and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, with a scheduled role as Johnny in the sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Beyond acting, he established the online production company hitRECord in 2004. In 2013, Gordon-Levitt made his feature film directing and screenwriting debut with Don Jon, a comedy in which he also starred.
