Motoaki Tanigo graduated from the Faculty of Science and Technology at Keio University before entering the game development industry with Sanrio Co. He later served as CEO of 30min. Inc., where he helped develop a local news service. After selling the company, he established a new venture in 2016 dedicated to AR and VR technology. In June 2016, Tanigo founded Cover Corporation. Initially focused on creating new content leveraging AR and VR technologies, the company subsequently expanded its operations into the Virtual YouTuber business.
