Yumi Sugimoto, born in Osaka, Japan, is a model, actress, and gravure idol. Her career started in elementary school after she was selected through a Grand-Prix semi-audition for the girls' manga magazine Ribbon. In July 2007, she secured her first lead role in the late-night TV drama series Boys Esté, which aired on TV Tokyo. Her most recent role is Miu Sutō, also known as Go-on Silver, in the 2008 tokusatsu series Engine Sentai Go-onger, produced by TV Asahi.
