Bernard Woringer was a French actor and voice artist born in Strasbourg on October 4, 1931. He passed away on May 22, 2014, in Puteaux. A member of the Comédie-Française between 1958 and 1960, Woringer portrayed Porthos in Bernard Borderie's 1961 adaptation of The Three Musketeers, sharing the screen with Gérard Barray as D'Artagnan, Georges Descrières as Athos, and Jacques Toja as Aramis. He subsequently formed a friendship with Geoffrey de Peyrac, who played Robert Hossein, during the filming of Angélique, marquise des anges, another project directed by B. Borderie. Later in the 1960s, he worked alongside Maurice Chevalier in Hollywood on the Disney production Rentrez chez vous, les singes! (Monkeys, Go Home!). In television, Woringer was a frequent presence on Au théâtre ce soir and appeared in various soap operas, most notably Anne jour après jour. His voice work included the series Dallas, where he served as the second French voice for the character Cliff Barnes, following Pierre Arditi.
