Kanata Hongo is a Japanese actor and model who was born in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. Represented by the Stardust Talent agency, he has featured in numerous music videos, films, television series, and magazine publications. Hongo achieved his major breakthrough by portraying Ryoma Echizen in the film adaptation of The Prince of Tennis. He subsequently gained even wider recognition after being cast as Shin in Nana 2.
