Born in Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan, Tatsuhiko Takimoto is a Japanese author best recognized for his novel Welcome to the N.H.K., a prominent fictional work addressing the hikikomori phenomenon. Several of his serialized novels have experienced significant delays in collection publication, as Takimoto chooses to spend years extensively revising the manuscripts before release. He also participated in "Live at Faust," an anthology published by the Japanese literary magazine Faust. For this project, he contributed a story of approximately 30 pages and a segment of a collaboratively written relay novel alongside four other young writers. Takimoto maintains a YouTube channel under the handle @TTTKMT.
