Born in Sawara-ku, Fukuoka, Ai Kawashima is a singer and pianist who made her debut in 2003. Since then, she has performed extensively on the streets and released multiple albums. Kawashima is also a dedicated advocate for charitable initiatives, having contributed to the construction of schools in Cambodia and Burkina Faso. A third school is currently under construction in Liberia, with additional projects in the planning stages. Several of her compositions have been selected as theme songs for various anime and video games.
