Born on May 19, 1953, Dave Florek is an American actor and the brother of fellow performer Dann Florek. He is best recognized for his role as Mr. Chopsaw, the wood shop teacher, on the Nickelodeon sitcom Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. Florek also portrayed Coach Smiley in Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. His television credits include guest appearances in single episodes of Married... With Children and The King of Queens. Additionally, he appeared in an episode of The Amanda Show, playing a character attempting to mow the stage with a lawnmower.
