Yang Ik-june is a South Korean actor and film director, best known for the 2009 film Breathless, a project in which he served as writer, director, editor, and lead actor. His career has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the Best Actor award, the Audience Award, and the VPRO Tiger Award. His work has also received the Best Film International Critics' Prize and the Best Feature Film honor. Additional distinctions include Best Male Performance, the International Audience Award, High Commendation, and the New Wave Award for Best Director. He has been honored with the Grand Prize, the Special Jury Prize, and awards for Best New Director and Best New Actor.
