Ayumi Orii, born on July 20, 1985, in Suwa District, Nagano Prefecture, is a Japanese seiyuu, actress, and former idol standing 162 cm tall with blood type B. She is currently affiliated with Stay Luck and is best known for serving as the first leader of AKB48's Team A. Her journey began on October 30, 2005, when she successfully passed the AKB48 Opening Member Audition, being selected as one of 24 members from a pool of 7,924 applicants. She officially debuted on December 8, 2005, at the grand opening of the AKB48 Theater as a founding member of Team A. Orii graduated from the group on January 25, 2007, following the final performance of Team A 3rd Stage: Dareka no Tame ni. Regarding her professional representation, Orii transferred from office48 to Flave Entertainment in January 2013. After departing Flave Entertainment in 2020, she joined her current agency, Stay Luck, on July 1, 2022. Beyond her performance career, she has pursued entrepreneurial ventures, establishing her private brand of handmade candles named "Attractive" on December 8, 2014. In June 2024, she announced her marriage to a non-celebrity. Her special skills include Kyuudou (Japanese Archery), candle making, and scuba diving.
