Akira Kawashima, born in Uji, Kyoto, is a Japanese comedian, talent, and actor with a career spanning film, television, and radio. As part of the comedy duo Kirin, he serves as the boke and is responsible for writing all of the group's material alongside his partner, Hiroshi Tamura. Represented by Yoshimoto Kogyo, Kawashima primarily conducts his activities in Tokyo and Osaka.
