Personal Information

Susan Silo, also known as Susie Silo, was born in New York City, New York. Her acting career began on television with an appearance in "The Dick Clark Show" episode of The Jack Benny Show. She later co-starred alongside Larry Blyden, Dawn Nickerson, and Diahn Williams in the NBC sitcom Harry's Girls, which followed a vaudeville troupe touring Europe. Throughout the 1960s, Silo made guest appearances in numerous series, including Route 66, The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis, Sea Hunt, and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.. In 1964, she appeared in an episode of Jack Palance's The Greatest Show on Earth, and in 1969, she played the character Rita Lane on Gunsmoke. Silo launched her voice-acting career as a talking cow in a series of Land O' Lakes Margarine commercials that ran for over a decade. Her extensive voice work includes contributions to Hanna-Barbera, Marvel, Disney, Ruby-Spears, DIC, Film Roman, Murakami Wolf Swenson, and other studios. Among her most notable roles are Wuya the Witch in Xiaolin Showdown, Dr Karbunkle in Biker Mice from Mars, the White Queen on Pryde of the X-Men, multiple characters on What A Cartoon, and Sue on Pac-Man. She also provided the voice for Mama Mousekiwitz in Fievel's American Tails. Her portfolio extends to video games, where she voiced characters in Crash Tag Team Racing and the arcade version of X-Men, in which she reprised her role as the White Queen. In later years, she voiced Auntie Roon on The Life and Times of Juniper Lee and Flamestrike in Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight in 2008. In 2009, Silo guest starred as the cat empress Neferkitty in the episode "The Curse of the Cat People" on The Garfield Show.
