Miyamoto, Nobuko

Born in Otaru, Hokkaido Prefecture, and raised in Nagoya, Nobuko Miyamoto is a Japanese actress. She was married to director Itami Juuzou from 1969 until his death in 1997, during which time she frequently appeared in his films. Her career has been recognized with eight nominations for the Best Actress Japanese Academy Award, securing the victory in 1988 for her performance in A Taxing Woman.
