Personal Information

Miyuki Kanbe, born in Kanagawa, passed away from heart failure on June 18, 2008. Beyond her professional life, she held a motorbike license and enjoyed tennis and long-distance running. Her favorite color was pink, and her shoe size was 23.5 cm. Kanbe began her stage career appearing as Usagi Tsukino in the Sailor Moon musicals between 2000 and 2001. Her theater credits also include Spider's Nest at the Tokyo Globe Theater in November and December 2001, The Prosecution Witness at the Ginza Theatre in 2002, and the role of Queen in Musical Forest is Alive in August 2004. In October 2005, she performed in Love Hotels - LOVE×HOTEL. In live-action television, Kanbe portrayed Nanako Yokokawa in an episode of Moero!! Robocon on TV Asahi in November 1999. She appeared in D-girls Idol Tantei San Shimai Monogatari on TV Tokyo in 2001 and played Oyumi in Hatchobori no Nana Nin on TV Asahi in January 2003. From 2005 to 2006, she played Hinaka Tachibana in Kamen Rider Hibiki, followed by a role as Tamiko Kuraki in Kyoto Chiken no Onna, which aired on TV Asahi from April to June 2006. Her work in animated series includes Yume ☆ Ouen Tai on TV Tokyo from September 1999 to March 2000. She was associated with Ikaring no Menseki on TV Aichi and TV Tokyo from April to December 2000, reportedly at HYPER GO Gou. Other television appearances include Ucchan Nanchan no Urinari!! on NTV from March 2001 to March 2002, LF+R Morning YOUNG LIVE JAPAN / Young Live Nippon LF+R Music TV on BS Fuji and Fuji TV 721 from April 2001 to March 2003, and Baku NEW on TV Tokyo from October 2001 to September 2002. Kanbe's filmography features the role of Kyouko Kakehi in Toei's Battle Royale II, released on July 5, 2003. She also appeared in 69 sixty nine, released by Toei on July 10, 2004, and played Hinaka Tachibana, also known as Hinako, in Kamen Rider Hibiki & The Seven Fighting Demons. Her discography and published works include the DVD Kanbe Miyuki 〜MOON Letter〜 released by PONY CANYON on June 21, 2000, and THE COMPLETE Kanbe Miyuki on April 25, 2001. Later releases include Metamorphose! from Frontier Works on November 25, 2004, and Amaretto ~Beware~ on May 20, 2006. Her photobooks are I am Rainbow ☆, released on July 25, 2000, and Navi, released on September 30, 2004. Additionally, a digital photobook titled Kanbe Miyuki @ Digital Photocollection was released in December 2001.
