Personal Information

Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1977, Sonoda made her debut in 1995 with the manga High Tension Hour, which appeared in the special oversized early spring issue of Shueisha's Ribon Bikkuri magazine. In May 2003, she began serializing the fashion manga ChocoMimi in Shueisha's Ribon Original. The series moved to Ribon magazine in March 2004, where it continued its serialization. Sonoda passed away on August 4, 2019, from breast cancer.
