Moemi Otaka was born in Hokkaido, Japan. Her voice acting career began with an affiliation to Up-front Kids Net, which lasted from January 2012 through 2015. She subsequently joined Sony Music Artists, remaining with the agency from 2015 until March 2018. In April 2018, Otaka moved to L & L Victor Entertainment, where she worked until March 2024. During her tenure at this studio, she changed her professional name to MoeMi. As of April 2024, she has been represented by EARLY WING. She maintains an official presence on YouTube under the handle @MoeMiofficial.
