Personal Information

Before achieving fame, Atsushi Tamura attended an industrial high school in his hometown of Shimonoseki, where he faced two suspensions: one for smoking and another for cheating on an examination. During his youth, he was a member of a band before shifting his focus toward comedy. For his initial comedic performance, Atsushi partnered with a school classmate under the duo name Umaseki Fugutarou and Fugunosuke. This moniker was derived from Shimonoseki and fugu, the pufferfish dish renowned in the region. After relocating to Tokyo, Atsushi eventually formed a team with Ryo Tamura. They initially adopted the stage name "London Boots," inspired by a fictional comedy duo that had itself taken the name from high-heeled shoes. Although the phrase lacks specific meaning in English, in Japanese it refers to the knee-length platform shoes often worn by Japanese girls. More recently, he has served as the vocalist for the band jealkb.
