Personal Information
Monika Bustamante is a playwright and actor based in Texas. In the realm of voice acting for ADV Films, she has lent her voice to various anime characters, including Cocoroo in Petite Princess Yucie, Kisaragi in Happy Lesson, and Kasumi in Sakura Wars. Beyond television, she appeared in several independent films, notably securing a small role in Mike Judge's Idiocracy. Outside of screen work, Monika is a celebrated theatre writer and performer in the Austin area. Serving as Co-Artistic Director of Shrewd Productions, she has had numerous plays that have either won awards or received nominations. She collaborates regularly with Hyde Park Theatre Core, Refraction Arts, and Austin ScriptWorks. Additionally, she has performed with Salvage Vanguard, UT Austin, Vassar Powerhouse, and the Austin Shakespeare Festival.
