Shouzou Hayashiya, whose full stage name is Shouzou Hayashiya IX (Kudaime Hayashiya Shōzō), was born Yasutaka Ebina. Previously performing under the name Kobuhei Hayashiya, he is a multifaceted entertainer active as a rakugoka, tarento, and seiyū. In addition to his work in performance, he serves as an associate professor of humanities at Josai International University.
