Born in Tokyo, Japan, Jiro Matsumoto is a Leo. He is a Japanese manga artist recognized for creating works such as Freesia, Uncivilized Planet, Keep on Vibrating, Wendy, Avant-Pop Mars, Little Feet, A Revolutionist in the Afternoon, and Tropical Citron. His manga are noted for containing extreme levels of sex and violence. Matsumoto graduated in 1992 from the Sculpture Department of the Faculty of Musashino Art University. He previously served as an assistant to mangaka Hukuyama Youzi, who was reportedly dissatisfied with Jiro's work due to his sloppiness in applying screen tones. He is the brother of mangaka Taro Matsumoto, a devout Christian. Additionally, Jiro is a devoted fan of the animated series The Simpsons. Beyond his work in comics, Matsumoto is a member of the Miro Dance Theatre, where he frequently performs guitar renditions with a funk theme.
