Born in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, Airi Furukawa is also known by the name Ruka Harukawa. She served as a member of the idol group SKE48 until her departure in July 2015. Following her time with the group, she transitioned to a career as a freelance illustrator. On January 1, 2018, she publicly announced her marriage.
