Personal Information

Kaori Matsumoto was born in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. A distinguished female Japanese judoka and Olympian, she achieved significant success on the international stage. Her accolades include a gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics, a bronze medal at the 2011 World Championships in Paris, and gold medals at both the 2010 World Championships in Tokyo and the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou. Additionally, she secured a gold medal at the 2008 Asian Championships held in Jeju. Following her victory at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Matsumoto began engaging in volunteer work focused on children in Japan. She also ventured into voice acting, portraying a motorcycle policewoman character modeled after herself in the 2013 film Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.
