Shiro Amano is a character designer known for his work on Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street Special, Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street Portable, and Itadaki Street DS. He has also illustrated novels for Breath of Fire IV and the Kingdom Hearts Series, and published the artbook Amano Shiro Art Works Kingdom Hearts. His professional portfolio further includes contributions to Super Deformed Gundam and Lord of Vermilion. Amano is particularly recognized for adapting the Kingdom Hearts video game series into manga format. Although he announced in November 2015 that Kingdom Hearts II would be his final adaptation of the franchise, he subsequently began work on the Kingdom Hearts III manga adaptation, which was released in 2019.
