Maeda, Yuuka

Personal Information

Born on December 28, 1994, in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, Yuuka Maeda is a Japanese pop singer and a member of Hello Pro Egg under Hello! Project. She joined the group after passing the Hello Pro Egg audition in 2004. In 2008, she was selected to be part of High-King, a temporary unit formed specifically for Cinderella the Musical. The following year, she was assigned to the new unit S/mileage alongside fellow Hello Pro Eggs Saki Ogawa, Ayaka Wada, and Kanon Fukuda. Maeda maintains an official blog through Up-Front Agency, where she periodically shares photos and updates about her life. She is scheduled to portray Amu Hinamori in the musical adaptation of Shugo Chara!, a production that also includes other members of Shugo Chara Egg!. However, in August 2009, it was announced that Maeda, along with Wada and Fukuda, had been removed from Shugo Chara Egg! and replaced by Mizuki Fukumura and Irori Maeda.
