Thomas James Kenny was born on July 13, 1962, in East Syracuse, New York. An American voice actor and comedian, he is perhaps best known for his work in the animated series SpongeBob SquarePants, where he provides the voices for SpongeBob, the narrator, and Gary, among other characters. Beyond voice acting, Kenny was a cast member on the HBO sketch comedy program Mr. Show and the short-lived Fox sketch show The Edge. On The Edge, he worked alongside Jill Talley, whom he later married. He also hosts Funday Night at the Movies on TCM, a show designed to encourage children to watch old movies. Kenny began his career in comedy performing stand-up alongside figures such as Wendell E. Wild Jr. and Barry Crimmons. He maintains close friendships with voice over actors Bill Fagerbakke and Clancy Brown. Additionally, he provides voices for the show Out Of Jimmy's Head.
