Joaquín Cosío is a Mexican actor and poet recognized for a diverse array of prominent roles. His filmography includes Rubén "Mascarita" in Matando Cabos (2004), General Medrano in Quantum of Solace (2008), and El Infierno (2010), where he portrayed Eufemio "El Cochiloco" Mata. He gained further acclaim as Angel Guzman Hurtado, also known as The Silver Angel, in The Strain (2014–2017), and as Ernesto Fonseca Carrillo in Narcos: Mexico (2018–2021). Additionally, he appeared as Major General Mateo Suárez in The Suicide Squad (2021). Beyond his on-screen acting, Cosío has established a significant presence in Spanish dubbing. His voice work features Rattlesnake Jake in Rango, Ted Clubberlang in the Ted Movies, and the title character in Klaus (2019). He has also lent his voice to Lord Mictlan in Maya and the Three, Lampert in Lupin III The First, and Otto in The Garfield Movie.
