Kodama Kiyoshi, born Kiyoshi Kitagawa (北川 清) under the name Kiyoshi Kodama (小玉清), was a Japanese television personality and actor active from his birth on January 1, 1934, until his death on May 16, 2011. He is best known for hosting the Asahi Broadcasting Corporation quiz program Panel Quiz Attack 25, a role he maintained continuously for thirty-six years from its April 1975 premiere until his departure in late March 2011 due to declining health. His tenure on the show was defined by his signature catchphrase, "Attack Chance!" Beyond television hosting, Kodama was an enthusiastic reader who anchored a TV book review program and authored several books of his own. In the field of voice acting, he provided the Japanese voice for Robert Stephenson in the 2004 animated film Steamboy. Kodama passed away from stomach cancer on May 16, 2011, at a hospital located in Chuo, Tokyo.
