Personal Information
Born in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, Yu Yagami relocated to Tokyo following his graduation from Osaka Industrial University. He made his debut as a mangaka in 1991 with the work Higawari Yagami Land. At various points in his career, he served as an assistant to Kinutani Yuu. Beyond his work in manga, Yagami is recognized as a member of the Kendoukai karate organization. In 2011, he achieved national championship status in the masters kumite division.
