On what turns out to be Foundation Day, new transfer student Aoba Shunsuke finds himself alone in the empty halls of Sunshine School, secretly enjoying the solitude. His peace is broken when the tall and beautiful Natsumi, called "L" (Eru), arrives and quickly forms a connection with Shunsuke despite their difference in height. Shunsuke's mother owns a women's clothing store but is currently short-handed. Although he is eager to help, Shunsuke struggles because of his limited experience with customers. Eru volunteers to assist at the store, much to Shunsuke's mother's delight. This heartwarming romance follows the highs and lows of the "SL" duo—Shunsuke and Eru.
